This was one of my favorite project of the year! Luke's mixes were great, but so are a lot of the mixes that come in. And Shanna's a very good singer, but I can say that about most of my clients. I get in a lot of very good stuff every month.

So, what sets this project apart from the rest? It's the originality of the songs, and Shanna's creative vocal phrasing and melodies.

I get in so many projects that show great talent, but the songs sound too similar to something I've heard before. And the vocals are only a couple simple melodies that are constantly repeated in the same cadence throughout the entire song. It's a great performance, with very little original substance.

I would have to say, originality and vocal phrasing are by far the two biggest factors that set apart a BIG hit song on the radio from songs that don't make it. But of course, it's not "just" about originality. The song and singer have to be good too. And of course you need huge cash to get radio play. But even with all that, a stale unoriginal concept will fail.
